Miha Krišelj

Miha Krišelj, Deputy Director, Post and Electronic Communications Agency of the Republic of Slovenia

Miha Krišelj has studied at the Faculty for electrical engineering in Ljubljana and graduated in 1989 on the thesis on Mobile telecommunication networks. His professional work started at the public broadcasting organization RTV Slovenia as a R&D engineer in 1988, involved in implementation of RDS system and continuing as a Head of Technical Department of Radio Slovenia. His work was associated with digitalisation of radio and perspectives of spatial development of digital audio broadcasting in Slovenia. As the Head of technical department of Multimedia Centre of RTV Slovenia from 2001 to 2003, he played a leading role on development of multimedia platform to aggregate the interactive content for non-broadcasting networks. 

He continued his studies at the International Academy of Broadcasting in Montreux, Switzerland and at the University of Maribor where he received masters in 2003 on the thesis on opportunities and limitations of SFN broadcasting network in Slovenia. In 2003 he joined the national regulatory authority APEK (Post and Electronic Communication Agency of the Republic of Slovenia) holding the position of deputy director and the position of the head of radio communication department. Since 2004, he is actively involved in implementation of T-DAB and DVB-T in the Republic of Slovenia. He is a member of the RSPG (Radio Spectrum Policy Group), member of Slovenia digital forum and Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana.
