John Rossiter, Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development , HBO - Central and Eastern Europe

John Rossiter, 36, is Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development for HBO in central and eastern Europe.
HBO is the best known premium pay television brand in the world, with HBO Central Europe providing premium and basic programming to cable TV and satellite TV platforms in fourteen countries across the region.
In his current role as a senior member of the HBO management team, Rossiter is responsible for each country’s distribution and management, as well as the development of new services for HBO.
Prior to joining HBO, when he was based in London, he gained over eight years’ experience in the media industry, working for two of the largest media companies in the world, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Buena Vista Television International. 

Rossiter joined HBO Central Europe in 2004 and has helped expand HBO into six new countries, launching Cinemax, the second premium brand in the HBO bouquet, and increasing the HBO portfolio from two to six channels. 
He implemented HBO’s digital strategy by launching HBO HD channels and the subscription VOD service, and HBO Digital in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and Croatia. 

John is married with a young son and lives in Budapest. He enjoys golf, music, road-running, and snowboarding.
